Wetsuit Information

Wetsuits are an absolutely critical component if you’re going to be spending time in the water when the temperatures are anything less than extremely warm. Neoprene wetsuits work by keeping a thin layer of water between the neoprene and your skin, which keeps you warm even in cooler waters.

Wetsuits are used by more than just scuba divers. They’re great for surfers, canoeists, windsurfers, and participants in all kinds of other water sports. They help you stay warm, dry, and out on or in the water a lot longer than you’d be able to without one.

Wetsuits are available in a number of different styles and thicknesses. You can get full body wetsuits, shorties, and a full range of thicknesses in whatever style you choose. The one that you select will depend largely on the activity you’re involved with.

Wetsuits range from thin, 2mm or less shorties, which cover just your torso and still provide full range of motion, to a thick, full, 8mm semi-dry suit which is often complemented by neoprene boots, gloves, and a hood. The thinner wetsuits are much more practical for warm water activities, while the thicker ones are more applicable for cold water activities.

Wetsuits do more than just provide warmth and thermal insulation for water sports, of course. They also provide substantial abrasion resistance and buoyancy. No matter what water sport you’re into, you can find a perfect wetsuit from us.
